More than 200 Junior & Senior Queensland players attended the 2025 Queensland Junior Closed and Senior Closed Championships held at the South Pine Indoor Sports Centre between Tuesday 15 and Monday 21 April. 

There was a terrific atmosphere at the Junior Closed as players competed in U11, U13, U15, U17, and U19 age groups across Teams, Singles, and Doubles events. There was intense and passionate competition, as well as the growth of many friendships, both new and old, and TTQ was very proud to see all players getting into the spirit of the competition and giving it their all.

The U11 Boys Singles Finals was of particular note as one of the last matches of the tournament, with Daniel Lin and Krish Narsey going head to head and taking the game down to the final set in front of an eager crowd.

The girls also saw plenty of heated competition with Tiffany Lam and Ella Yu defending their U17 Girls Teams title and Taleisha Gaeta returning from injury to defend the U19 Girls Doubles title with Tiffany Lam. 

At the Senior Closed players competed in the U21, Open, and Para categories across Teams, Doubles and Singles events. 

After some tight Group Stage matches, Brisbane A, Neycer Robalino, Bruno Levis, and Josue Bolivar, took home Gold in the Opens Men's Teams event after a close final against the Star A team of Hayden Green and Yudong Shi. 

In the Para Singles Vinnie Batten battled it out for Gold, with David Serifovic taking home Silver, and Jonas Campbell and Prakash Srinivasan scoring Bronze. 

TTQ also introduced livestreaming to the event for the first time. Working with SportVot and their team across Australia and India, all matches on Court 1 were livestreamed and featured live-scoring on the TTQ YouTube channel where the full matches and highlights are also available. 

TTQ would like to thank all of the players for their hard-work and sportsmanship-like behaviour throughout the competition, as well as the parents who support and encourage these young players. 

A huge thank you also goes to the Umpires, Referees, Deputy Referees, Photographers, and Event Crew without whom events such as this would not be possible!
