Published Mon 09 Dec 2024
2024 QLD Hopes Training Camps a Success!
The QLD Hopes Pathway & Talent ID program was completed in Brisbane on Sunday 8th December with 35 junior players aged 12 years and under attending the 1 day camp held at Brisbane Table Tennis.
The players recieved expert coaching and support from a team of qualified coaches and junior hitting partners to give players exposure to a training environment designed to help them improve as players, but primarily the goal is to influence their habits and understanding of high-performance training, such as proper warm-ups, stretching, training attitudes, and match etiquette.
Many thanks to all the coaches and hitting partners who supported the program this year!

2024 QLD Hopes Junior Pathways Regional Training Camp
The International Table Tennis Federation drives a worldwide Hopes Program aimed at providing young players the opportunity to train and compete with their peers. The process starts at national level with a training camp and tournament run early in the year. Players can then be selected to follow the program at continental level and then at world level.
The Hopes Junior Pathways Training Camps are the pathway for aspiring junior players (aged 12 and under) to be exposed to a level of training to prepare them for competition level participation at regional, state and national level.
By providing junior players with an engaging experience early in their table tennis journey, we believe will raise the participation and performance level of Queensland representative players in the future.
Participants who are invited to participate the State Hopes training camp in January 2025 are eligible to attend the National Hopes Week & Challenge held in Victoria in April 2025 (venue location tbc).
